Well, I finally was able to visit, Tokyo Skytree area today and took many different angle shots of it.

You can see that Tokyo SkyTree is moving up very fast! In just one month, the tower is being built up 20 meters!!!
This is amazing progress.

Here is a piece of the Tower that will be brought up and place on top like Legos. It looks like a rocket from the side but this one part is *HUGE*. Look at the guys below it!!!!

I really do not revisit my old archives that much but I found that some of the video links do not work. This kinda sucks. It looks like youtube decided delete them for some dam reason. It is sad because some of these videos series were truely awesome. However, not all of the links went down....only a few. Maybe they will pop up again a later time.

I added pix database update for this project. This is such an awesome project and it looks like it will really be built. It is hard to believe so I still think it is a vision proposal only. However, we will know when construction starts and we start to see the building going up.

Project 018 - Jeddah Kingdom Tower (UPDATE)

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) -- Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal says he will build the world's tallest building in the Saudi city of Jeddah.

Sunday's statement by his firm, Kingdom Holding Company, says the building will be more than a kilometer (3,281 feet) high and will be part of a larger project that will cost 100 billion Saudi riyals ($26.7 billion).

The project, called Kingdom City, will span 23 million square meters (248 million square feet) and will include luxury homes, hotels and offices.

Al-Waleed is a billionaire businessman and member of the royal family.

The new name for the "TALL TOWER" is now called "Nakheel Harbour Tower". It was originally called "Al Burj" for the longest time. I think several years it was going by that name. But now it is offical so I needed to update my blog about that.

The Saudis are trying to beat Dubai for the WTB. It is funny because I remember Nakheel Harbor Tower (AKA " Al Burj") was fighting with Burj Dubai for the title. Now they have to fight against Jaddah Kingdom Tower now.

Well, Well, Well! We are almost there!. It looks like the floors are set and now they are working on the very top which I like to call the "Burj Poll". Here is a very cool pix I got from "Ember-To-Ashes" on SkyscraperCity.com of Burj Dubai thread. It must be a bit scary to not only work at those heights but there really is not space to work around in. I would think the people working up there must be paid very well.
Also, I found a cool YouTube Clip that show the current construction at the base. Enjoy!

Wow! Yet another cool and new supertall arrives on the shore of Dubai.This was presented in Dubai Cityscape2008. It is 120 stories high and about 700meters tall. At first I thought the top part was some big fan since "GREEN" is in and it would generate the power for the building but after looking closer, it is just a static beams. However, the middle part will be a park and restaurant. Now that is too awesome! I have to have lunch up there when it is done!

I will probably end up with maybe 50+ projects. Although I am labeling the projects with numbers, it will not reflect the order in which I publish them or update them. I have now uploaded Dubai Project 006 - Dubai Sun Tower. This is one of the many cool proposals coming out of Dubai. One more thing, I think I will be setting the pictures on 2 services; Jalbum and Picasa Web Albums. Both have strong points. However, I think Jalbum will be my main site. Dubai Project 001 - Dubai Sunny Mountain Skidome - INFO

Dubai Sunny Mountain Skidome will be the first of its kind in the Middle East. The project consists of a dome(a steel structure) that will include a huge revolving ski slope, going through and around an artificial mountain range and created to emphasize the 'Arctic Experience' effect. It will also have a deluxe hotel, a shopping mall, restaurants, coffee shops and other retail outlets, etc.

The architectural design of the hotel will be iceberg-like. Two huge real-ice columns will mark the entrance to the dome. Within the dome, there will be all kind of Arctic experiences, ranging from Pinguinarium, winter aquaria, snow castle, ice-rink, Arctic animals statues, 4-season aquaria, snowfall, sound and light effects, cold and warm bath spa and other facilities and attractions.

The project will be spread over a 1.4 million sq. ft. plot within the Dubailand -Attractions and Experiences World.

Real Snow
The skidome will feature only real snow - no chemicals. Skiing will be made possible in a pleasant ambient temperature of around +10 degrees Centigrade. Skiers will be taken with a cable lift to the top of a ski slope where they can enjoy the beautiful view and the restaurants.. Due to the exceptional technology of a rotating ski-deck, skiers could ski downhill for hours - making the project much more unique than any other.

Here is Burj Al Alam sign at the construction site. It is exciting to watch a supertall being built from the very beginning and watch it grow. I was not able to see Burj Dubai at the very beginning since I did not know about it until it was already like 20 stories high.

My First Blog for Dubaisupertalls.com. I do not know if anyone will be interested in reading what I say but you never know. Anyway, This is probably the best way to provide news of what I find.

For now, Burj al Alam - the corporate mall is already starting to market and do adds. I like this add. It is nice and a slick blue. Will that mall be all blue glass or just a cool photoshop trick? Anyway, I like the cool advertizement.
